What types of books does this work for?
It's easiest for non-fiction books that help the reader achieve a specific outcome. It could also be applied to other types of books if you're creative in thinking of other products or services that your readers would want after reading your book.
What types of products make sense as a companion or follow-on to a book?
In-depth guides to a specific topic covered in the book, e-courses to help people apply what they learned, membership programs to support them in getting the results they wanted, coaching to provide personal support, done-for-you services to help them achieve the outcome, and even physical products that tie in and help them solve their problems
Do I have to be techy or know how to do graphic design?
Nope! You can build a simple but professional e-product using Microsoft Word with just a few font and color changes, and SamCart has a drag-and-drop interface for building the sales page.
Do I need a website or mailing list to do this?
Nope! You can set up your sales page right in SamCart and immediately start selling. You’ll need a source of traffic, such as social media, YouTube, podcasting, etc. Personally, I use advertising, because it’s the most reliable and requires the least effort.
